Here’s the whole flow, exactly as it looks in the app. All you need are the SSID and Auth Key from your Pluto’s box, and about two minutes. The drone itself can stay in the box, powered off. The same run also activates your warranty and pilot perks, free.
Fire up Pluto Controller, the same app you fly with. The Register Pluto button sits in the top bar, and it stays there until your drone is registered.

The welcome screen lays out everything registration switches on: warranty, password, perks. Tapped Skip for Now on day one? No harm done. This is exactly where the top-bar button brings you back.

Pluto registered, and your password is on screen. Tap the copy icon and it’s yours. From here on it also lives on the Hangar page, so losing it is no longer a thing that can happen.

Now power the drone on. Its network shows up in your phone’s Wi-Fi settings, named after the SSID, like pluto_xxxx_xxxx.
When your phone asks for the network password, paste the one from the app.
Back in Pluto Controller, tap CONNECT. The ARM switch goes live, and you’re airborne.
